The estate’s vines are on average 40 years old with grapes from the oldest vines, which are 70 years old. When replanting a plot or changing a dead vine stock, our ancesthor’s decided to carry out a massal selection of our young vines because they were concerned about the quality and originality of their vineyard .That is to say instead of choosing a vine purchased from a « nursery », they choose their grafts by cutting a vine shoot from their most beautiful vines. This technique is not without risk, especially in terms of protection against certain diseases, but it allows us to maintain a high quality of production, especially when the vineyard has very old quality vines. Today, it confers upon our wines the sought-after varietal diversity . We continue to follow their example.
