Service advise
The glass
“To appreciate the champagne, you must give it the glass it deserves : the ideal glass shape is a tulip shape. The fineness of the glass is also important.
The glass must be rinced with hot water and with no washing liquid. If the glass has been washed in a dishwasher, the bubbles will not be lively and may disappear very quickly.”
The temperature
“Champagne must be drunk chilled, but never ice-cold. In the case of a young and crisp champagne, it is better served chilled ( 8°C). A more mature champagne or a vintage can be drunk at 10 °C. If the freshness is too high the perception of the aromas will be disturbed. You have two possibilities to cool the champagne : in a bucket, with a mixture of water and ice, during 15 to 20 minutes or in the fridge, lay down the bottle 3 to 4 hours before serving. You should never use the freezer!”
